AAIA enhances their existing Membership system to take advantage of Microsoft’s .NET framework. The enhanced system, developed by i3solutions, allows AAIA to utilize the .NET framework to improve system functionality and integration.
Business Challenge: The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) is a non-profit trade association whose 2,650 member companies conduct business worldwide in the motor vehicle aftermarket industry. AAIA was looking to enhance their existing system, written in ASP, to a system that takes advantage of the .NET framework, which would provide better system integration, increased security, and improved performance and scalability.
Solution: i3solutions enhanced the existing AAIA system to work with and leverage the .NET technology. All future projects and enhancements to key existing functionality will be developed using .NET technology. Therefore AAIA will be taking advantage of .NET’s ability to remove barriers to data sharing and software integration, easily exchange data, help users manage personal information, and protect against unauthorized access to that information.
Return on Investment: By using the .NET framework, AAIA was able to improve the integration between their legacy systems, and between the back-end system and public website. In addition, the application security was enhanced, reporting and tracking capabilities were improved, and multiple functionality enhancements were completed quicker with improved reliability, scalability, and performance.
